These days everyone seems to have a social media account... Facebook, Instagram, the list goes on. One of the beautiful things about the Serengeti is that it's "way out there". It's easy to unplug and once the shock of that eases it's a really good feeling. But understandably, not everyone wants to do this. The lodges almost all have internet of some sort now. Even some of the most primitive camps have internet now. So if that's your thing you'll be able to get on-line periodically. It's not going to be super fast and maybe not super reliable but it will get an Instagram post or two up there if you have to. And now, if you do a little research before you go, you can probably have cell service most of the time as well. With that said, give digital detox a try. You're in Africa.
