The Context

The AIDS epidemic has left millions of Tanzanian children without parents. Without a support system, these children often abandon school, facing a future with little hope.

The Boarding School Model

Peace House is a unique boarding school for over 240 AIDS orphans. Their curriculum doesn’t just focus on rote learning; it emphasizes creative problem solving and entrepreneurial skills. The goal is for these graduates to become “job creators” who will build a sustainable future for Tanzania.

How You Can Help: Guests are welcome to tour the Peace House facilities during an Arusha layover or before their departing flight.

  • Wish List Items: If you have extra room in your luggage, Peace House is always in need of laptops, digital cameras, and sports equipment (soccer/rugby/volleyball).
