The School of St. Jude: Fighting Poverty Through Education

The Mission

Founded in 2002 by Gemma Sisia, St. Jude’s provides a free, high-quality education to 1,600 of the brightest but poorest students in the Arusha region. In a country where one-third of the population lives on less than $1.25 a day, education is the only exit from the cycle of poverty.

The ADS Partnership: Fueling Young Minds

A hungry child cannot learn. ADS provides donations that fund hot, nutritious meals every month. By sourcing produce from local farmers, we support the community while ensuring students can focus on their dreams rather than their next meal.

Pro Tip for ADS Guests: Our operational office is in Arusha, just minutes from the St. Jude campuses. We encourage our guests to visit the school, meet the students, and see firsthand how one classroom has grown into a beacon of hope for all of East Africa.
